Touch-enabled technology is the new normal. It’s how we interact with our phones, our computers and our car doors. Now that ABUS has cracked the touch-code for the bike lock, our strategy was to simply showcase how a fingerprint bike lock reduces life friction too.

Solution

Modern folks already know how fingerprint tech works, so we knew that any attempt to explain these locks would be a waste. Our job was to simply make sure people know the tech now exists in a super-secure bike lock. The perfect task for a fun film built to raise awareness at the top of the funnel.

Getting the right models and actors is always key (no pun intended). But for this work, we knew that casting would be even more important in helping land the fact that if you’re a commuter with a fingerprint, this is the right lock for you.

A look behind-the-scenes

Scrappy and agile, we worked with our brand film production partners to find creative solutions along the way, such as scene transitions that felt ‘real-time’, to how we approached rigging bikes for handlebar POVs.
